3. Testimonial dinner for Sgt Thomas R. P___ and crew of 67. Lt Col Pete M____ of 602 was here and presented P____ with Sandy plaque.

4. Col Reynolds, DCO from HQ ARRS and Col B. C. Mussick DCM HQ ARRS accompained by Col Burleson, VCO 3rd Gp arrived at _______ for staff visit for operations and material to also include a facilities inspection.

5. Col Reynolds and Col Mussick left on Buff for NKP to witness a formation flight and refueling for purposes of giving approval to our formation flights. Stayed at NKP for unit inspection there. Reaction appeared to be favorable as reported by Maj R E Smith and Capt C C Campbell RCC's of 68, 69.

6. Sgt P___ given a farewell ride in Buff with a join up on a C-130 flown over Udorn. He leaves for the states on 7 Feb. Seems to be in good spirits. H-3 Jollies pulled ground alert here as tango was socked in.

9. Crews left for Cam Ranh Bay today to begin work of picking up new aircraft - C models. Col Ratcliffe going on R&R, Maj Libby exec officer is in charge.

10. Acft that took personnel to C R Bay returned.

11. Maj Craft left TDY for Maintenance - Supply conference in States. Maj Daighty OIC of maintenance now.

13. Capt Hartman left for MAC SEA JOC meeting at John Hay AB PI

14. Crews beginning to fly C models at C R Bay./ Sgt P___ left Clark for Wilfred Hall.

18. C models arrived at Udorn - now have 7 birds

22. Lt General Gideon 13th AF Commander visited unit. JG 71 had a pickup in South PDJ of an F-4 Vackseater. Frontseater didn't make it. Took survivor into field hospital

26. JG 71 shut down an engine on the way home. Came in single engine. First C model trip north - low bird.

28. NAIL down Jolly 68 trying to get in. We have two on the ground at NKP. Both out of comm. None here at Udorn able. NKP nitnoys finally got him. 68 took several hits.
