1. Buff picked up 1 F-4 pilot in Thailand. H-3 from NKP picked up the other one.
2. Buff picked up an A-4 Navy pilot 120/102/89 in first light. Lo bird lost ????

6. 54 combat saves. 46 gomers 8 USAF when 21st lost two H-3 on an infil. Little Jollies tried but took hits. Buffs got all - 1 acft took some hits other seems ok
7. Brought 434 back from NKP. Covered with muf from one end to the other from mission. Had 54 people on 1 acft - 3 on other.
8. General Cotton, CO MAC visited ARRS. Static display of Buff award ceremony for Duaghty, Allen, Harris
112/90/89 F-4 shot down crew picked up by Buff - front seater picked up by Da Nang bird - 1 guy. Still working on the crew of an Nail FAC in same general area. Two Nails had mid air in same area as F-4 crew. One Nail - two guys - bailed out and Buff picked them up. One other - F-4 backseater - was picked up by hi bird. Little Jollies picked up crew of #2 Nail after he crash landed at Lemo. One Buff took several hits - one survivor was injured made it to Ch 89. General Brooks was at NKP for debriefing same night.
9. Word from Eglin that an H-53 had blown up in midair last night. General Brooks due in today on visit to 40th and Det 5. 286 took hits on yesterdays mission. One was in a main structural member so the acft was given to RAM team. Will be out about 6 weeks. One of the north birds shut down an engine on RTB for low oil pressure warning.

24. 283 shot up on rescue near Ch 72. Acft put in at Ch 72 by Capt Almangai. One H-3 from Da Nang destroyed - crew ok. Eventually got both pilots of Misty FAC. Col Frazee for visit.
25. 283 arrived back at Ch 70 after fix in the field. [Pete ? wife had baby boy! He was on 283!!]
