27. Jolly 73, 788 had to land near Fishes Mouth with low fuel and inoperative probe. After the crew - Capt Shapiro, Capt Pereira, Sgt Rouhier, TSgt Carlson, A1C Jones and Sgt Cockerill were transfered to Jolly 63 - Lt Long, Lt Ackerson, Sgt Foy, Sgt Hammock, Sgt Mueller, and Sgt Strong, Jolly 63 proceeded to Ch86 to off load Capt Pereira who had a broken right arm. Jolly 54, the #4 backup bird landed near Jolly 73 to recover secret equipment but was driven off by hostile activity. Sandy's received the order to kill Jolly 73 sa as not to fall into enemy hands. Jolly 73 received heavy ground fire trying to pickup Jackel 33B near Hanoi. Capt Pereira, 788's CP is being medevaced to Clark.

28. Normal orbits today. We are still thinking of SAR attempts on Desoto 3 and Jackel 33 (F4 and F111). Both survivors are, however in a very bad area and NVA's may be using them for bait. Jollys were scrambled for an aircraft down on 070/40/89 but survivors were apparently captured.
