  1. The last of Wolfpack F-4's leave Ubon for the US of A. Nothing there now bu the Thais, the klongs and the Jollies sitting alert. Now the aircraft are parked on the taxiway adjacent to the alert facility instead of the PSP ramp in front of the tower. Det 3 is about dead and will officially close 12 August - then the alert facility will be wholly ours for the duration.

  1. Buffy breaks out of "guaranteed" chage to hold him to St. Louis.

    27. Termites!! 2 weeks ago they ate through the wall at the back of the breifing room, damaging as well several charts and maps depicting landing sites and low level hazards. The rotten panels, 2x4's and cross members were all ripped out, exposing a thriving colony to a ruthless extermiination by smelly spray. Yet it was only the opening battle in what is now all out war. The exec office was invaded, but the enemy's presence was discovered in time to prevent major losses to the paneling and structure. Smelly spray (cough) saves the day. Alas! The little blighters have spread large concentrations of companies along the south wall of the breifing room. This morning all the plaques, thophies, and mementoes along that wall were unceremoniously stripped, the paneling torn off and crushing salvoes of the insidious insecteside brought to bear. (gasp, choke, spit).
