10. Safety team from Hawaii arrives tonight. Col Mac misplaces his jeep - Nice going. Lt Blough (Flying Safety) introduces Lt Mason as Grnd Safety Officer and Lt Brown as Asst Safety Officer. Capt Jacobs introduces himself as a safety hazard.

12. "Lefty" Mason strikes again. This time it's with a ketchup bottle at lunch. Seems a Nail wanted some ketchup and asked Mason to send it over. Well, he sent it alright, just like a hand grenade - bounces off the ceiling, then off the top of Thida's head (O-club hostess) and into the hands of the nail. Thida was credited with a save, as the bottle would have fallen terribly short without the assist from her head. She didn't seem to be overwhelmed with her "Save" when the lunch bunch noticed she was talking to the Ma, crying and pointing @ the Jollys, believe a few Thai nasties were thrown into her story to the Ma as well.

13. What trouble has Mason gotten the Jollys into this time? This morning's rumor traffic has some good stuff. Could it be the only time this Sq gets RBI's is when Grumpy Green O2 is acting Commander? Rumor is that Col Knuckles heard about the ketchup bottle and is rather pissed off. Evidently he is a stickler for dining room manners - I can't see why - especially after his druken display with a tambourine @ the O-club one Friday night a month ago.

Purser is a qualified AC, but he has neen QT'ed as a Co-Pilot. He's flying with Wee Balls ( alias Walls) today and when picking up the Nav kit he neglected to look inside. OOOOOH! AAAAAH! That's right - none of those yellow books were in there. "SOF, 30 on Fox."

"Yeah, how about bringing us, uh …, another Nav kit. Looks like Buford done fucked up."

16. Maintenance strikes again. 3 day LCL's scheduled, 1 night local and alert change over. By 0900L, 2 LCL's have crumped & the alert bird is broken.

17. Capt. Dube has his Cherry Ride as AC today - His Copilot is "El Weidro" Froslie. Dube said he's going out to Sahkon Nahkon to practice a few whifferdills. Comes back after 2.8± with yaw kicks. Up to this point we have Servo Joe Gilbert, Servo Jake and now we have Amplifier Dube.

19. Grumpy Bai-Leho's out of Operations and back to Chief of -Stan-Eval. Lt Col Woodward takes over Operations - as yet he does not have a nickname. Yes he does - Col Klong - for getting totally wiped out at "O" club and spending the night in the Klong.

21. Sawadee tonight @ O-club for Walls, Jacobs, Keith. Newland gets shit-faced and steals the show. TV coverage provided by Goodyear Blimp & Goodrich Balloon.

25. Servo Joe getting ready to go to Korat tomorrow - hopping to get his eyes fixed by a belly dancer. Little does he know, she's coming up here tomorrow to fix ours.

26. Pedro (Dog) shot by Air Police on flight line w/12G. shotgun. Pedro taken to the vet and after about an hour looks like he'll be OK. Should be serious problems for Security Police, however. Aircrews & Maintenance are thinking of wearing flak vests & steel pots when going out on the flight line now.

28. Big Sawadee for Col Goodall @ O-club. Ho-Hum. After a day of apparent improvement, Pedro dies in the Hootch bar during the party. Buried beside Jolly Green hootch bar.
